My Brother and My Mother

It was a regular weekend but my mother wanted to go out, so we did. I didn’t want to go outside, I preferred to stay in my nice cozy cave (a.k.a. my room) . But my mother convinced me in the end, she told if I stayed in the house I should do chores, that got me out of my bed…and fast.  The first thing we did when we got to state street was to go to yogurt land. My little brother was bugging about wanting to go there so we took him.

The next thing we did was to go to stores. Ha, me and my little brother didn’t really like that . I get easily bored shopping unless when I am with my friends. Since me and my mother have different taste of clothing but I manage. The plus side is that she knows what is my style, skinny jeans, and some cute shirt, with converse or high tops. In the end of all that shopping I got skinny jeans and a neon shirt from inspire. The next stop was to go to the park because my little brother started to get tired of sitting in his stroller and he was bored from shopping with us.

We went to Kids World park, my little brother was happy. I was chasing my little brother around since we were playing tag and I was it. He didn’t play fair, the whole entire time I was it, not him. But hey he is my little brother, so I didn’t mind. But seeing my little brother smiling and laughing made my day not regretting about getting out of my room.

Her photo shoot was at Harbor Beach Venture, I recall. I honestly don’t remember but we went to the beach, thats my point. We had to wait for a while cause the photographer was running late. Meanwhile she was enjoying her time with her friends and I was awkwardly standing there taking pictures. It was a beautiful day to take pictures but it was cold.

Well this my cousin being a dramatic Victoria secret model.  I mean look at her she has that thing that all models has…depth, it looks like she is in deep thought. Even though we can’t see her face just her figure. But she was looking good in her photo shoot. I guess being a model runs in the family. *Hair flip Hair Flip* When we were about leave we pushed my cousin into the water. We weren’t successful because we didn’t get her completely soaking wet. One thing is for sure, we were colder than we were before because in the process of pushing her into the water, we got wet as well.

To end the day, her  parents, my aunt and uncle, took us out for pizza. I have a thing for pizza, just wanted y’all to know. Well one of her friends wanted to arm wrestle, so we did, they challenged me with one of her friends, meanwhile the boys were doing the same exact thing. Sadly, I lost to the girl Melissa…twice.  The next time you will see my gorgeous cousin on my blog is her big day, her quinceanera.

I was at home waiting for beach side limousine to pick me up because I am going to my cousin’s quinceanera photo shoot. She asked if I would of liked to be in her 15 video and I said yes. It’s not like I have a life so…I said yes. The people who to attend in her photo shoot we had to wear white shirts.

Look at the beautiful view. Well my older cousin took the picture, I was in the back and I couldn’t take the photo since I was in the back of the limousine. I had to stick my head where the driver was so I can tell my cousin to take a picture. We took this route to go to my cousins house because there was traffic and it would of taken longer if we stayed in the freeway. We ended up being 1 hour late to pick up my cousin.

But don’t worry we did end up picking her up just in time for her to get her photos taken. The girl next to me is my beautiful cousin Lizbeth. Sorry, for the bad quality the limo was dark in the back, and for my face. Well, I am going to talk about my experience in the limo, it was awkward cause I did not know anyone in there at all beside my cousin and my other cousin who was in front.  Until next time you well see what we did during and after her photo shoot.

Macy’s Models

Just saying we are cool. Like look at her, she looks badass? Can any other model pull that of? I think not. Well we went to Macy’s to look around and have some fun in the store.

Look at Merline been a model with the mannequin. No we did not get kicked out the store but we did mess around though.

We didn’t do anything mischievous but we did mess around with someone. We went up to someone and told them a little lie… Since we just came from a school meeting, we had a folder and some paper. We looked like we were doing something school related.  Well we took our chance and went up to some random foreign guy and told him we were doing a school project on how many foreign people we could find at state street. Surprisingly, he went along with it, we asked if he could speak italian for us and he did.  We recorded it and took pictures with him for “proof” that we actually went to do our research. Just incase the guy from the picture sees this post, well this is awkward. 

Valentines with The Best Friend

I think this has to be one of the best valentines I had yet. I may not have a lover but I am loved. My best friend gave me one of the cutest gift. She gave a small little pink teddy with chocolate and a hand written letter. The letter she wrote me made me tear up because it summed our friendship and she wrote with love. I don’t know if you guys remember Tera from my last recent post she gave me the huge fluffy monkey with chocolate. Plus, my mother proved she really loves me she got me roses. Sadly, all the candy and chocolate are gone… I mean what is cuter then that?

My best friends and I made plans to hang out valentines and to have a movie day and to enjoy our single life together. We had ice-cream,cookies,chocolate cookies, and candy to go with it. The movies we watched was “The Last Song”, I won’t lie I shed some tears. Then we watched “Jack the Giant Slayer”, Nicholas Hoult was in the movie, for those who don’t know he is my husband.  Lastly, we watched “13 going on 30” it was a cute,hilarious movie.

Then to make it even better after we watched the movie we had some dinner and for dessert we made strawberries dipped in chocolate. Might I say we would make good chiefs one day. Sadly, our time had to end because my parents were going on date night for valentines and I had to go home with my little brother and my aunt. It wasn’t so bad either we watched “Now You See Me” and boyfriend Dave Franco is in that movie to.

Me and Merline

You think Tera would of learned from my mistakes, but I guess not. She has been arrested now and suffering time at school now. Ha, but it was hilarious because this was one of the cops ideas to take the picture. Picture credit goes to the officer that took this amazing hilarious photo. The officer told us to pose, point our fingers at her, and make look like  we were making fun of her and that Tera should try to look like she wants out of this, to be let free.

Well once we left the station with the police officers we met another guy that is part of Santa Barbara Sheriff  department. We didn’t ask him much, besides if we could take a photo a with him. Merline and I wanted the sheriff to point the gun at her but he said he isn’t allowed to do that. Merline and I were disappointed but we got stickers and that made everything better. I guess?

Me, Myself, and I

Me, and Tera and one of my other friends decide to take a ride in a ball. We have been waiting for this moment since the begging of the day. I now know how a hamsters feel like.  We were in there for about 15 minutes or so and we rolling around and bumping into each other.  Picture credit goes out to Merline who took this photo.

Tera and The Sheriff

This is Day 1 when we were volunteering in the Lemond Festival. Just if you guys forgot this Tera, she has been in my last two recent post as well. We were on our lunch break so we decided to go wander around and see what the Lemond Festival had to offer us. We met this dude in a military truck and he was pretty chill to talk to. We were asking him many question, I bet we bugged him, but he answered all our questions. I learned new stuff about the military truck, like you see that small circular window behind the girl Tera its wear they shoot if they wear threatened and that it is bomb proof at some extinct.

On the way getting out of the Military truck we ran into some police officer talking about this police training academy. We were curious about the academy and asked questions and one thing led to another and I am sitting in the police officer car getting arrested, haha, no we were justing messing around.

When we were heading back to our post we saw False Puppet playing and my friend Merline likes there band so we stayed there and listen to them play. We were rocking out to there music and it was a moment to keep because I had fun with my friend Merline and some other friends that I saw that liked them to. When the concert was over, we saw Tyler Benko and we asked him if we could take a picture with him and Merline.

Rusty’s for dinner

Me and my friends are in a program called “Friday Night Live” FNL for short . FNL is all about preventing the youth to do drugs and alcohol. We all met up to celebrity valentines, even though it was couple days away.   Plus, we needed to talk about our upcoming next meeting about T.R.A.C.E.  We went to rusty’s to celebrity and to talk about our upcoming meeting.   It was cute little small party/meeting, we are all together talking about our plans for valentines.

Dinner

I our dinner was quite delightful may I say. We had a valentines cookie with pizza best meeting yet. Me and my little group came kinda late to the meeting so I missed the chances to take a picture of the heart shaped pizza.But we still came right in time before they finished the pizza and it was still warm.  It was a nice touch that our leader from our program did. He obviously bought this pizza with love. This was our dinner for the day and it was amazing, now it is resting in my tummy.

In the end of the day me and friends, Merline,  Tera and I had a blast at Rusty’s.  We were just going to leave Rusty’s and take a trip down state street to get some Starbucks for some free wifi and some warm drink to go with our donut we were going to get. We ended our day great, whats better then food, friends, and family. Have a great Valentines you guy’s.

A Day at Long Beach Aquarium

I went to Long Beach Aquarium with some friends in December 21,  2013 during winter break. This is when we were about leave the Aquarium to go back home. It was nice view from where we were sitting at. I’m not going to lie it did smell like raw fish it was not the most pleasant smell,but then again it is beach.  We were sad that we didn’t get to finish exploring the aquarium but we were happy that we were heading back home.

If I say so myself this picture looks professional.  Well I forgot what type of jelly fish this was but it was swimming around in small little black tank.  We got to see many types off fish and other types of species that live in the deep blue sea, and this jelly fish was one of them. The tanks that the aquarium were pretty cool because it felt like you were able to go through them and swim with the fishes. My two friends and I never seen sea horse ever until that day and they were so adorable. I didn’t take a picture of the sea horses sadly.

I took an adventure to the deep blue sea and discovered that sharks can walk. Like you can see this shark saves life’s, like he saved our life’s from boredom. The girl in the left is Merline and the girl next to her is Tera , then there is the shark , a.k.a. the homie, and there is me and then Luz.

Best Friend 15

January 25, 2014  was an important day for my Best Friend Frida. That day was her Quinceañera. For those who don’t know what that is its a celebration for her 15. In the Hispanic community it is the age where the young girl is becoming a woman and proving that she is longer a baby now but a young adult. The beautiful dress she is wearing  is designed by none other Adan Terriquez . Professional stylist came to do her hair and make-up! This photo was taken at the Marriott Hotel where she was staying at.

Those who might of not guessed it her Quinceañera theme was Hollywood.  TV stations came to film her big day and they interviewed Frida, her family, and doctors. This  was her dream Quinceañeara, it’s what she was dreaming of when she was little, to be a star. The guy besides her is her older brother. Just a little background about me and her is that we have been friends for about ten years. We have been friends since elementary school.  P.S. This was her Hollywood entrance.

Her party was thrown at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  The Children’s Hospital was throwing her 15 because she was a cancer survivor. At age 12 she was diagnosed with brain cancer. About two years of treatment she kicked cancer butt. She was no longer a survivor but warrior because she fought off cancer. Her church ceremony was thrown at the Children Hospital of Los Angeles as well. She didn’t want some fancy church that had all the luxuries she wanted the CHLA  because it was like her second home there.
